Where's Noah?

I went in to check on Noah last night before we went to bed. I looked in his crib and didn't see him, I gently picked up his blanket and there he was. We did uncover him before heading off to bed, but not before we got a good laugh and took pictures.

6 months

For his 6 month birthday Noah did not get any cake, rather he got presents and officially began solids. Here are some pictures and videos of our weekend!

This stuff is N-A-S-T-Y!

I would much rather play in it

This bowl tastes better than that rice stuff.....

How do I spell my name in this stuff?

I'm a BIG 6 month old now

I can do push ups

And sit up on my own

This stuff is better the second time around....mmmm.....good

Cool Kids Club

Noah and his friends Bodhi and Elijah all have the same striped blanket, now called the cool kids blanket. Here are pictures of the cool kids at their playdate Monday. Bodhi is exactly a month younger than Noah and is a big boy too. Elijah is only three weeks old in these pictures and is the son of Noah's former babysitter, Jen.

Avocado!!!!!!!!!

Last Saturday B and I were having some good old Mexican food for lunch. Eva stocked us up with fresh tortillas and other things while she was here watching Noah. There is nothing like fresh corn tortillas. Anyhow, we were eating and Noah was a little fussy so I thought, wonder if he likes avocado. It was one of the first foods we planned to introduce anyhow so I mashed some up. Needless to say I think we have been starving our little boy. I don't think any really ended up outside of his mouth and he was begging for more but got cut off.
You're finally going to feed me!? I'm so excited!

What are you about to do to me now!?

MMMMM

Not quite sure about this stuff

Swimming

I have been dying to take Noah swimming but wanted to make his first pool swin be a family occassion so we could get pictures. Well, I couldn't hold out. Noah was having a bad day and boycotting naps. So after 10 hours of him being awake with no nap and being crabby I packed him up in the stroller and made our way to the pool. I was completely out of ideas to get him to stop screaming. We got there and got in. The kiddie pool was closed because someone had thrown up in it, so we were off to the big pool. It was pretty chilly but that didn't stop us. Noah immediately began to splash around and was stunned by the new tasting water. He did put his mouth to the water and drank like he likes to do in the bath but his face told me it wasn't as good. Noah enjoyed watching all the other kids and splashing around. We then went home and did some more swimming in the tub to get the chlorine off. Then it was pjs time and play time. Finally at 7 p.m. he began to rub his eyes and I picked him up. Within 2 minutes he was passed out in my arms. I put him to bed and 3 hours later he is still sleeping. Although I complain quite a bit about our inconvenient community center, I am loving it today and owe it my sanity.

Bradley Babies

On Sunday we had our Bradley reunion. It was great to meet up with everyone and hear birth stories. We met Gus whose parents were in the class before ours. He was born a day after Noah and is tiny compared to our monster! We did miss Olivia and her parents, Eric and Jackie. They were at home tending to their other daughter who recently had surgery. We hope to meet up with them soon and hope to be able to have playdates with Olivia, Connor and Kate these next few weeks while Mom studies.

Stanley Canyon

On Saturday we went to Stanley Canyon and hiked with our friends the McCallisters. Gene and Brian had a great time carrying the kids. On the way down Kate and Noah decided they had enough and let us and everyone we passed know. Parts of the trail got sticky at times with kids on the guys' backs but we made it up and down safe.
