Stanley Canyon 2009

We went and hiked Stanley Canyon again this year. This time with some people from church. It was beautiful as usually and a little tough weighing about 20 pounds more than the last time and carrying a pack.

18 Months Old

First Haircut

Noah got his first haircut on June 20. We were going to get his 18 month pictures and thought it was about time because his hair was getting a bit unruly. It was tough for Mom who cried a little. But Noah loved getting his haircut and sat really well. He now looks like a little boy instead of a baby.

Father's Day

For Father's Day, Brian took his Dad and Noah fishing in Palmer Lake. They didn't catch anything but had a good time at the park. Noah bought his Dad a new bike for Father's Day and has been enjoying going for rides in the Burley. Brian spent the early morning hours of Father's Day biking 22 miles for a charity event, while I was sleeping away in bed.

A Date with Kate

Last weekend we went with the McCallisters and Chris to Divide for a kite festival. We got there and it was too windy to fly, so we went to a park instead. We had a lot of fun hanging out. It's been too long since Noah and Kate have gotten together and we are hoping to have more play dates in the future. On the way home, both were pretty tuckered out after their long day together.

First Hike of the Summer

We have been having all sorts of rainy weather this spring. Its a blessing because its has not been too hot and water bill has not been exceptionally high given all the new things we planted this year. It has been a curse because its been tough to enjoy the trials and get outside. Two weekends ago we finally managed and had a blast hiking the outer trials of Garden of the Gods.
