Noah had his 4 month well-baby today. In the words of his doctor "he is extremely healthy" (must be all those drops of liquid gold he gets fed every day). She maintains that he is still ahead developmentally. He had been boycotting rolling over for two weeks now. He will go to his side and then stop. The only minor concern throughout the whole appointment was his bowed legs. He bears a lot of weight on his legs already and the doctor thinks they should be a little more straight. She said we will just watch them and see if they start to change, which they most likely will. She wasn't too concerned but wanted to put us on the alert "just in case". For now we are going to try to spend less time standing and jumping and more time on our belly to get that rolling thing going again.
Here are his stats:
Height: 27.25 inches (97%)
Weight: 15lbs 6 oz (could be off he didn't fit on the scale and can't sit up enough to not lay to get measured, our home scale shows 17-18 pounds)
Head: 16.5 inches
On another note, Noah and dogs have become quite the little pack.
When he lets out his high-pitched "I'm hurting (teeth?)" or "you have really made me mad cry" Jamba comes running from where ever she is in the house to check on "her baby". Then she gives you this glare, like you better not have hurt him. The other day Noah did this cry while in his exersaucer. Well Jamba came running and Hudson was by Noah looking at him. Jamba thought Hudson hurt him so she grabbed Hudson by the neck and gave him a little doggy-scolding. Hudson ran away. Jamba has officially taken the title of Noah's protector.
Hudson on the other hand is Noah's best friend. He puts his paws on the exersaucer to be closer to Noah so he can lick his face. If that doesn't happen or if Noah gets mad Hudson just hangs out next to him waiting for Noah to reach for him and pet him. This has been going on for a week or so. Noah watches Hudson to make sure he's around to play with and smiles and laughs when Hudson licks his hand. Yesterday, I left Noah on the bed to take a shower. I heard Hudson whining so I got ready to get out and enact a Puppy Time-out (we are working on the whole whining thing, Jamba's snoring is a whole other issue). Well, I looked, and Hudson was on the bed, next to Noah, on his back, feet in the air and Noah had a handful of his hair. Hudson gave me the "help me" look. So I went over freed his hair from the death grasp of a 4 month old and Hudson immediately jumped back. Then he looked at Noah and then laid right next to him for some more. I was actually surprised that Hudson, in his Yorkie way, didn't yelp or show his teeth to Noah. I guess we're going to have to keep an eye on them two.
School is almost over for me as I said earlier and I feel like I have a little more time so hopefully I'll be able to update again and not have a month to catch up on again!
